After over four years, we sadly say goodbye to Dr Noor. We are grateful for the service and care he has given to the patients of this practice.
However, we are excited to welcome Dr Minhaj Shahid to our practice. Dr Minhaj has worked nearly for the past 20 years in medicine.
He has a wealth of experience due to training in Surgery, Medicine, ED and General practice. He has previous worked in Pakistan, UK and Australia.
His special interests include Cardiology, Enodcrinology, working with children and older patients.He is committed to provide quality care.
Dr Shahid prides himself in being a lifelong learner.
Dr Shahid will be starting with us on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with the intention to start working here full time as soon as it is practicable.
Due to rising business costs, this practice will be increasing our fees as of Monday the 22nd August, 2022.
We have tried to keep the costs as reasonable as possible for our patients and despite the ongoing pressures created by the pandemic, we postponed this increase as long as possible. As always, if you have any issues paying, we encourage you to reach out and discuss this with your GP.
The new consultation fees are as follows:
Standard consultation (level B – up to 20 minutes in length)
Fee payable at time of consultation $85.00
Concessional fee (pensioners/HCC/Under 16) $65.00
Medicare rebate $39.75
Level C consultation (more than 20 minutes)
Fee payable at time of consultation $130.00
Concessional fee (pensioners/HCC/Under 16) $100.00
Medicare rebate $76.95
Level D consultation (more than 40 minutes)
Fee payable at time of consultation $170.00
Concessional fee (pensioners/HCC/Under 16) $135.00
Medicare rebate $113.30
We will continue to bulk-bill children 5 years and under as well as select other services such as chronic disease care plans and over 75 health checks are bulk-billed.
Telehealth Charges
Please be advised that from the 22nd of August, we will also be charging patients the above rates for Telehealth consultation rather than it being a discounted fee.
Other Fees
We will also be increasing our fees for other items such as excisions, mental health care plans and other procedures.

Due to changes made to Medicare, as of the 10th of January 2022 we will no longer be able to Bulk bill all Telephone and Video consultations. There will now be a slight gap fee, this will be applied at the Doctor’s discretion. You will be notified via text message after the consult if there is a charge and be required to pay this fee, before we send off any scripts.
Fees for Telephone consults
Level B – Phone call lasting less than 20 minutes – $50 (Medicare Rebate – $39.10)
Level C – Phone calls Longer than 20 minutes – $80 (Medicare Rebate – $39.10)
Fees for Video Consults
Level B – Video Call lasting less than 20 minutes – $60 (Medicare Rebate: $39.10)
Level C – Video call lasting at least 20 minutes $96 (Medicare Rebate: $75.75)
We will continue to bulk bill Phone and Video consults for concession card holders and patients 16 years and under
Payment can be made either over the phone (by credit card) or in person (when you collect scripts)
We are posting this to inform all our patients that as of the 1st of March we will be changing our Bulk Billing procedures.
At present we have been bulk billing children aged 16 and under, however, due to changes made by Medicare this is no longer practicable. Therefore, as of the 1st of march we will only be bulk billing children aged 5 and under. Children aged 6 to 16 will be charged at the concessional rate.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.
We are now doing most of our consults over the phone. Please contact us to arrange a time. If you have an appointment booked in the near future, a receptionist will contact you a few days before your appointment.
Please note that Dr Noor and Dr Clayworth will still see patients face to face if it is absolutely necessary and our nurse Julie is still doing immunisations.

The practice participates in state and national recall and reminder systems such as the Pap Test Register, Australian Immunisation Register, Bowelscreen etc. If you do not wish to participate please let us know.
